Where the Air Softened explores the feeling of movement becoming lighter. Layers of colour and sweeping brushstrokes flow into one another, shifting between energy and stillness.

The work is inspired by those fleeting moments when everything seems to soften: light, movement, colour, even time itself. Rather than capturing a specific place or subject, it holds onto a feeling of openness, joy and ease.
